Negril
Negril is a popular spot for visitors to the island. Negril's waters not only offer beautiful beaches but it also offers world class diving and a wealth of watersports.
Negril offers an easy going and relaxed atmosphere, which is rare for such a major world renowned resort area. It is easy to explore Negril as it has only one road that runs along its seven miles of beautiful powder white sand beaches. For the adventurous and young at heart there are motor bikes that can be hired or you can just jump off a cliff. Due to its geographic position Negril guarantees its visitor the most beautiful sunset that cannot be seen anywhere else in the island.
Places to Visit
Anancy Fun Park: Located at Poinciana Beach Resort. They are open weekdays 1pm-8pm.
Animal Farm: This is a tour for nature lovers.
Bike Mountain Waterfall: They have a waterfall, natural jacuzzi, bar and grill
Country Western Riding Stables: The name is self-explanatory.
Margaritaville: Offers a restaurant, beach, watersports and other forms of entertainment.
Mayfield Falls: Waterfalls, camping, picnic area and gift shop.
Negril Lighthouse: This is the only historical landmark in Negril and is fully operational. It was originally operated by kerosene.
Rick's CafÈ: Offers on a clear day a spectacular view of the sunset. No where else on the island offers such a view. Watch the sunset while enjoying a meal, drinking or dancing. It is also famous for its cliff where on any given occasion you will see locals and tourists alike going for a dive. There is also a bar at the bottom built inside the cliff.
